Am I hungry with eating One Meal a Day (OMAD)?  I am not.  I think as overweight as I am, being hungry is not necessarily why I am overweight or why I eat.  Sometimes you just have to walk in to the kitchen.  Or walk in the house and head for a snack.  I think many times you don’t even realize you grabbed something to eat and then it’s gone.  We don’t have sugar snacks in our house or chips or pastries or any of the typical snacks people talk about being bad for you.  Even though we are grain and sugar free – I still managed over the last 3 years to gain 10 pounds a year.  I get frustrated with hot flashes and hormones that I know are a hindrance.

I do think the intermittent fasting is a huge factor.  I am counting on that being a game changer for me.  I figure every time I would have that snack or that bite of nuts or that bite of cheese whatever I was eating that was “healthy” was still resetting my body so it really thought I was “eating” all day long – it only fasted during my sleeping time.  If I had a snack before I went to bed, ate when I got up.  In a 24 hour day I was only maybe fasting from 10pm to 7am.  My body was not resetting itself.  “When we fast, the cells in the body initiate a cellular “waste removal” process called autophagy” from Healthline.com.

Amanda Rose (ELAB) has a chart that shows your body eats your calories first, then sugar and THEN fat.  I want the body to eat that fat!  There is lots of talk about ketosis and the effects for your body and your insulin level, etc.  I know there is lots of science and discussion on the topics.  But I just want it all to work and lose weight.
