Survived Easter

So I was concerned about Easter but it was a breeze.  I brought the meat (Ham and Turkey) to the dinner with green beans and cucumbers.  All food I could eat.  Ham is traditional Easter food – but it is not on my approved foods – so I ate Turkey.  4 oz turkey, 1 cup each of green beans and cucumbers – filled my plate.  I didn’t look like I was skimping at all.  When they had desert and coffee I made myself a hot chocolate electrolyte cup to drink.  It was great.  Had my fruit 2 hours later, and I did not want to eat supper at 6pm, but I did.  I know I am supposed to eat all the food.  Got up this morning and had lost another pound.

I have gotten in a pretty good routine.  Eat lunch somewhere around noon – sometimes a little later.  4 oz meat, 2 servings vegetables – 2 hours later fruit snack.  Repeat at dinner  and snack.  I am weighing everything and measuring – so that has been easy and good.

Got our walk in this morning with Annie our dog, and a bike ride in this afternoon.

Made Dick some bread, and I see he is out of cookies – I will make the dough tonight and have him put them on the cookie sheet.   I am not suppose to touch anything with oil or butter, so I am vrey careful when I fix his meals.  They even recommended wearing gloves if you have to touch oily food.  That has been a hard habit to break, I spray the grill, the frying pan, everything before I cook so it doesn’t stick.  No spraying in the past 10 days!

Onward I go…
