Today I had coleslaw and 5 oz fried bluegills (caught in Michigan). The coleslaw was Amanda’s recipe, it was good. But it was just too much for me. I ate about 2/3rds of the big bowl. I measured 5 cups of cabbage – probably left 1 cup. The fish were delicious. We have been grain/sugar free for a couple years. So we use Almond Flour for any flour items. Breading was almond flour plus seasonings (old bay, onion/garlic powder, salt and pepper). Dip in egg and then seasoning. Fried in a combination olive oil and avocado oil.- maybe 5 T in the huge pan with probably 2 T left in the pan. I tried to account for oil and all ingredients for my calorie count for the day. I ended up at 912 calories but my carb count was the highest of the week at 31. There are many good apps out there is you want to know your calories and carbs. I use Very Well Fit Recipe Nutrition Calculator – just put all my items in and it does the calculations for calories/protein/carbs/everything. It is designed as a recipe calculator – but I just put everything in like it’s a recipe for the total. I really should try some other programs. This just gives me the info, doesn’t store it. I know Atkins has an excellent calculator and it stores your food for you from day to day. I have used that many, many times.
I finally filled up my gallon jug and started that this morning. I thought I would blow thru it quickly. I use a big 40oz mug and fill it up a lot during the day. But today I’m only about half way through and it’s 5pm.
